You don't need to make your tables anymore. Export it from excel directly to your articles with CSV format. Any separator and each column sorting supported.

CSV 2 Table plugin - for example insert into content string

{csv}rows;and;values;here
and;second;row;neccessary{/csv}

and it will replace this text to normal HTML table with sorting by column ability.

For styling use plugin settings or .displaycsv_sortable or .displaycsv_sortable_not classes or csvtable0, csvtable1, csvtable2 ids...

Don't forget to publish the plugin and select proper separator in plugin settings.
